Toys R Us is Our Future
Toys R Us… The promise land for many young children. The land of milk and honey you might say. Toni and I also like to refer to it that way. I believe it to be the future downfall of my credit card and bank account.
We have a Toys R Us / Babies R Us right around the corner from us which we had to visit for a sleep positioner. While we were there we decided to browse through some of the toys that we will be buying for Brody in the future. We then found ourselevs lost in a toy wonderland.
One thing that I loved as a child were Legos. Not only can you build the sets and play with them, but you have the parts to make anything your imangination could dream up. My cousin and I used to make a sort of space ship that we played with.
Toni and I were looking at all the new sets they have come out with since then. They had huge pirate scenes, Star Wars battle crusers, and all matter of ships, cars, and trucks. It was a Lego wonderland. We were both brought back to our child hood.
We moved on to some other toys and we were continually amazed at all the new things they have for children these days. Things like 3D sidewalk chalk, I mean how cool is that! They also have these little action figures shaped and painted like medieval times characters. Knights and warriors on horse and foot, archers and spear men, and they were in expensive but not cheaply built.
The main point is that we are going to enjoy buying and playing with these toys just as much as Brody will, if not more! I want him to stay just like he is and take his time growing up but at the same time I can’t wait for him to grow up so we can play together.
