Back from the dead!
First off I’d like to apologize to my loyal readers for not posting in a while, everything has been keeping me way to busy and rather than write and sacrifice time with my family I just chose not to write for a while. I’ll try to get back into writing again though. The past weeks have flown by and much has happened which I’ll try to summarize.
If you haven’t heard MJ died the other day of a “heart attack”. Now they are questioning weather that was the actual cause and the Jackson family, following in the footsteps of their strange past are now performing their own autopsy. Now they are in the spot light so things are blown up a little bigger than if this was not a celebrity but if I died I’d like to think that my family would be a little to upset to be worrying about getting another autopsy to confirm my cause of death.
That is a little off topic but I figured I’d toss it in there. Hmm… Things that have happened since my last blog. We just had a quick visit from my Uncle and Aunt from Texas. They flew into town yesterday and we went to dinner and they headed out to Greensboro. Dinner was great. They also brought my young cousin with them who is a handful. He got into anything and everything and never sat down! I dread the day that Brody is like that.
Brody is growing nicely. We try to get a rough estimate of his weight by standing on the scale with and without him and taking the difference. Last time we did that he was around ten pounds! This Tuesday is his two month checkup so we will have an exact weight then.
I have been kept very busy at work. I’m applying for a Senior position now so everyone keep your fingers crossed! In other news we finally found a house, put a bid in on it, and it was accepted! Toni and I went and signed the contract and we should be closing on it in less than a month. We plan to take our time painting and cleaning and then for the move.
We cannot wait to get out of our apartment. The neighbor hood kids do nothing but loiter on the front porch blocking the way. They insist on petting the puppy when she needs to go to the bathroom and of course she pees all over the deck. They are also all slobs because the trash the whole area and break the hand rail on the steps every other day. Toni and I are just really excited to have our own place that we can decorate on holidays and what not. We are also getting a lot of storage for all our crap that we don’t need!
In case you’re wondering, Emma is doing great. Playing and keeping us entertained just as much as ever. She is also excited for the house as she gets a whole yard to play in! She weighed in at twenty five pounds a week ago at her check up.
Next weekend for the fourth we are all going to Brevard for a family reunion and party. It should be a good time. We are leaving Emma with one of my co-workers over night and my parents will be watching Brody for the most part while we are all there so it should be a relaxing weekend. Until next time.
