One+One=Three

Well the Baby Shower was a big success last Sunday and went off without a hitch. It was a good weekend and we both have to give many thanks to all that joined in. The most thanks go to our mothers and grandmother,  Danette, Barbara, and Donna whom put the whole thing together.

What we bought in NC

As you can see from the picture and the numerous pictures on the Photos page everyone was more than generous. The items to the left are only the tip of the iceberg and just some of the things we bought down in Charlotte. For the car ride from NY to NC we had a packed trunk and back seat full of baby gear on top of having to leave some items in NY. We are very glad to say that we are all set now and Daddy has moved from assembling things to nursing his sore hands.

The trip was fun though. We arrived around 3am on Thursday morning after the eleven and a half hour drive along the winding roads of NC, VA, WV, PA, and NY. Quietly parking the car at Grandma T’s house and creeping up to our room we quickly passed out from exhaustion.

Not to start on a side note but my Mom recently sent me a check. She said she wanted me to build her a new computer just for her, so it could not be ruined by my niece and nephews. I gladly obliged her because I love computers and I’m good with them and of course because I’m a good son. While I was ordering the parts I decided to buy a couple web cams as well since she had enclosed more than what I estimated the cost at. Once these were all set up I gave Mom and Dad a call and said you’re going to be able to watch your new grandson grow up on the web!

They have been telling me to get a web cam for years now as I have been moving all over the place. I thought it was about time since I have reached a new place in my life. I want everyone who does not live around us to be able to see Brody every day if they so please and of course for him to see them. (more…)

Well for starters I have been trying to find a set topic for this blog since I bought the web space a year ago. Now with all the new changes in my life I think I just might have it. Yeah it may not be the most original idea at all but it will help me in my journey and in the future may help others.

My blog is, from this point forward focused on myself, my wife, and our new family. We have a baby boy on the way and we are very excited! This all being so very new to us we have been looking for advice from every source we can find. We read the baby books, we watch the baby shows on TLC, and we have asked our parents what to do several times. In the end though it is our child and we are going to raise him how we feel he should be raised. (more…)
