Return Of The Jesz!

Well here I am, two weeks after the birth of my son to the day. I’m drinking a beer and enjoying our last day with the In-laws while we relax and watch some TV. The Cigars have been smoked and the sleepless nights have begun.

Its going to take a few blogs to recollect the past two weeks worth of events but I will try to roll them out fast. I go back to work in two days on Sunday so I should have some time to write more while away from the baby and wife. I’ll start from the beginning… (more…)

It Is Time!!!!

Well the day is here and yes of course it has been an adventure already. As I type Toni is in the bed next to me, hooked up to all sorts of machines to monitor her and baby. The nurses come in to check on her and she is trying to catch some Z’s.

They are telling us that Brody will be here in the morning. He is being a pain just like his Mommy was when she was born. Of course he had to make an entrance because his planned delivery day was supposed to be on Tuesday morning since Toni’s fluid has been low. He felt it was time to meet the world. (more…)

The Maternity Ward

Last night was eye opening for Toni and I both along with the dozen or so other soon to be parents we were with. To prepare us for the impending events that will transpire in the coming months, Toni signed us up for a maternity ward tour.

Our first reactions were ones of shock and awe. You see coming from Niagara Falls/Buffalo hospitals it was like we stepped into the Hilton and were being escorted up to the penthouse suite! The hospital at first glance was beautiful, outside and in. Clean parking garrage and lobby, Courteous staff, and oh the maternity ward. (more…)
