One+One=Three

This past weekend my family and I ventured to the quaint town of Brevard, NC for a family reunion on my mothers side of the family. We all had a blast as we always do but of course Toni and I had an adventure that never ends.

The plan was to head there Saturday morning after dropping off our puppy with a friend. I found out that I had a five day weekend and also that my friend didn’t mind watching the puppy an extra night so plans changed to ship out Friday night. Like the title says I have to give credit where credit is due. This past weekend (Friday and Saturday for me) was pretty rough and I basically had a meltdown. It all started Friday morning when Toni and I woke up early to get ready. We were supposed to be going out with our realtor to look at some houses.

Eight in the morning rolled around and Toni woke me up since she was already awake with the baby. I rolled out of bed and grabbed a cup of coffee and sat down on the couch with her while Brody fussed. Shortly after I got a phone call from the soon to be ex-realtor. He was canceling due to rain even though it wasn’t raining that hard and also he had not made any appointments. I brushed it off even though I was upset and he rescheduled for Saturday at three. Not to start on a side note but my Mom recently sent me a check. She said she wanted me to build her a new computer just for her, so it could not be ruined by my niece and nephews. I gladly obliged her because I love computers and I’m good with them and of course because I’m a good son. While I was ordering the parts I decided to buy a couple web cams as well since she had enclosed more than what I estimated the cost at. Once these were all set up I gave Mom and Dad a call and said you’re going to be able to watch your new grandson grow up on the web!

They have been telling me to get a web cam for years now as I have been moving all over the place. I thought it was about time since I have reached a new place in my life. I want everyone who does not live around us to be able to see Brody every day if they so please and of course for him to see them. (more…)
