Getting Healthy for Brody!

Since Toni and I found out she was pregnant she has obviously gained weight. I started making sure she ate good, wholesome meals and never missed any, as best as I could. She has done very well and according to the doctor she is the perfect healthy weight for a pregnant mother. I, on the other hand am not pregnant but have gained weight right along side of Toni.

Now maybe its that I’m getting a little older, I’ll be 27 this JuneĀ and my metabolism is slowing down or maybe I’m just getting a little lazy. I want to be able to go outside with my son and run around and play all day until he is ready to pass out from exhaustion, not the other way around. Something needed to be done. (more…)

The Maternity Ward

Last night was eye opening for Toni and I both along with the dozen or so other soon to be parents we were with. To prepare us for the impending events that will transpire in the coming months, Toni signed us up for a maternity ward tour.

Our first reactions were ones of shock and awe. You see coming from Niagara Falls/Buffalo hospitals it was like we stepped into the Hilton and were being escorted up to the penthouse suite! The hospital at first glance was beautiful, outside and in. Clean parking garrage and lobby, Courteous staff, and oh the maternity ward. (more…)

The Begining

Well for starters I have been trying to find a set topic for this blog since I bought the web space a year ago. Now with all the new changes in my life I think I just might have it. Yeah it may not be the most original idea at all but it will help me in my journey and in the future may help others.

My blog is, from this point forward focused on myself, my wife, and our new family. We have a baby boy on the way and we are very excited! This all being so very new to us we have been looking for advice from every source we can find. We read the baby books, we watch the baby shows on TLC, and we have asked our parents what to do several times. In the end though it is our child and we are going to raise him how we feel he should be raised. (more…)
